Jesse Bennett's Net Worth: Architect builds a Treetop in Cairns, Australia

Architect Jesse Bennett and his wife, interior designer Anne-Marie Campagnolo built a curvy treetop house in Cairns, Australia, as reported in an article published on Curbed. The article added that the house belongs to the list where architects designed their own homes.

The house is called "The Planchonella House" and it recently received a number of awards from Queensland Architecture Awards and Australian Interior Design, as mentioned in a blog from Design Addict Mom.

In the article from The Design Files, the architect shared that the home was built from scratch. He added, "It was an extremely hands-on approach, which was tiresome but allowed us complete control over design and outcome."

The article added that the materials like concrete and glass are substantial. The couple carefully chooses materials for the interior design to complement their interest like custom built and vintage furniture, textiles and playful art pieces. They called their design "Tropical Bizzaro."

An interview from the Yellow Trace, the architect mentioned that the inspirations for the design of the treetop house are world heritage rainforest and tropical climate. He added, "We wanted to create a dwelling that enabled the occupants to live simply in the landscape."

In the magazine Houses, as cited in the official website of Architect Bennett, the design is described as welcoming, playful and relaxing. In far North Queensland, the description is rare when it comes to housing market. The article added that the house has two curving concrete slabs, one for the roof and one for the floor, which are not in the same shape but overlaps. The overlapping and curving concrete make the house dynamic and a pleasure to be in.

In addition, the wall of the house is made from brick and link block, glass walls, black steel, and timber windows and door frames. The palette materials keep the house raw, earthly and sculptural.

The pictures of The Planchonella House can be seen in the websites such as Curbed, Design Addict Mom and Yellow Trace.

In the meantime, there are no reports regarding the net worth of the architect. The magazine House describes Architect Jesse as a representative of rhe young generation of designers who are committed to handcrafted buildings with a low environmental impact.
