Luke Wilson beat his former assistant inside the court, but the beating isn't physical, it's financial. The court has favored Wilson against his once personal assistant, Charles Lodi, and ordered the latter to pay back the Hollywood actor a total of $438,000, TMZ said.
According to the case's details, Wilson accused Lodi of spending up to $120,000 in wedding expenses, vacations, and cashes without the actor's consent or knowledge. It all began in 2014, when Wilson caught Lodi red-handed and the two agreed into a settlement. Lodi and Wilson agreed that the actor will be paid $75,000 in three installments. Lodi only paid $15,000 of the agreement before he went to Utah and disappeared without a trace.
Dailymail also said that although Wilson ended up winning the case, it is still unconfirmed if Lodi will show up to actually pay the charges, since he had never showed up since he went to Utah.
This might not be a problem for the Hollywood actor since he has a total of five films lined up for 2015. He already finished working with Kevin Connolly for the comedy-drama "Dear Eleanor". The film flaunts an all-star cast including Jessica Alba, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Josh Lucas, Ione Skye, Joel Courtney, Paul Johansson, Isabelle Fuhrman, and Liana Liberato.
"Dear Eleanor" is about two teenage girls (Liberato and Fuhrman) who went to travel the United States in 1962 during the Cuban Missle Crisis as they search for Eleanor Roosevelt.
Wilson is currently filming "The Ridiculous 6" with Adam Sandler, Steve Buscemi, Terry Crews, Danny Trejo, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Will Forte, Nick Nolte and John Turturro. It is set for release on December 11.
Wilson is the younger brother of fellow Hollywood actors Owen and Andrew Wilson. Off the three Wilsons, Owen is somewhat the more popular as he starred in box office hit films such as the Shanghai Series with action superstar Jackie Chan and the "Night in the Museum" series with A-lister Ben Stiller.
