Rocket Internet's Venture Capital Arm Global Founders Capital Invests in Real Estate Platform 'BrickVest'

London property platform BrickVest gains investment support from Rocket Internet's venture capital arm, Global Founders Capital.

BrickVest is an online real estate platform that is set to connect investors with developers and property owners across the European and North American real estate markets.  The company was founded by Emmanuel Lumineau, Dr. Thomas Schneider, and Adalbert Wysocki.  The three have backgrounds in real estate, fintech and investment banking.

Global Founders Capital (GFC) is just one of the investors in the start-up company.  Prior GFC's support, BrickVest has reportedly raised $1 million from 20 investors from the tech and real estate industries.  According to Tech Crunch, Richard Peiser, professor of Real Estate Development at Harvard University, was one of BrickVest's investors.

Emmanuel Lumineau, CEO and co-founder, also told Tech Crunch that the company is in the process of acquiring capital from new and existing investors to further accelerate BrickVest's development.  Lumineau further said that their property platform will offer transparency to real estate investments globally.  "Investment opportunities are typically protected by 'gatekeepers' such as brokers, banks, insurance companies and big investment managers who are driven by self-interest and keep the deal opportunities to themselves.  BrickVest brings together property owners, developers and investors to unlock the gate," said Lumineau.

Ultimately it will reduce the cost of sourcing, structuring and managing real estate portfolios, states Startups UK.   BrickVest's Lumineau further said that they are thrilled to have GFC's support ahead of the platform's launch, adding that "it is testament to our vision and strategy that they have decided to do so."

Founder and CEO of Rocket Internet, Oliver Samwer, also said that they are always on the look-out for strong teams to work with, along with growing a start-up into a successful business, reports Startups.  Samwer adds that BrickVest has the potential to cause a "paradigm shift" on how real estate investments are made around the globe.

BrickVest is set for launch on the third quarter of this year.  A minimum investment of €1,000 (approximately $1,100) is required for interested investors or users of the platform.
