DC Collectibles has unveiled exclusive toys and collector items for "Batman: The Animated Series." The announcement was made during the San Diego Comic-Con this week.
The exclusive toys and collector's items include a 12-inch statue, which was reportedly based on the sought-after film "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" by Warner Bros. Pictures and RatPac-Dune Entertainment, a report from Techtimes said on Thursday. According to the report, "Batman: The Animated Series" collectible items include Catwoman, Joker, Harley Quinn, Penguin, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, Two Face, Poison Ivy and other Batman villains. Batman's companions, Robin and Batgirl, are also included too.
DC Collectibles is reportedly planning to also release the Batmobile, which was featured in the "Batman: The Animated Series." The "Batman: Animated Series" collectible items will formally debut in 2016. The exclusive toys and collector items will be joined by other toys from "Arrow," "The Flash" TV series, the popular "Batman: Arkham Knight" and more from Warner Bros. Television and Rocksteady Studios.
"From comics to TV shows to films and video games, this year more than ever before, DC Collectibles has an all-star product line-up with something for everyone. Fans are going to love the 'Batman v Superman' line and I'm incredibly proud of the team's dedication to new, creative ideas that bring these characters to life," said Kevin Kiniry DC Entertainment, vice president of Creative Services as quoted in the DC Comics website.
According to Techtimes, "Batman: The Animated Series" aired on Fox from 1992 until 1995 and earned a lot of support from both critics and fans. During its peak, the series has given birth to three animated films, namely: "Batman: Mask of Phantasm," "Batman & Mr. Freeze: Subzero" and "Batman: Mystery of Batwoman."
DC Collectibles has also launched its brand new toy collections dubbed as "Icons," which reportedly features six action characters which were based on the art of Ivan Reis. The "Icons" are composed of the following characters: Batman, Deadman, Green Arrow, Mister Miracle, Black Adam, Blue Beetle, the Flash, a "Deluxe" Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) and Lex Luthor. Included also are Aquaman, Atomica, Harley Quinn and Superman, according to a related report from Techtimes.
