Catherine Zeta-Jones Supports Grieving Michael Douglas at "Ant-Man" Premiere, Steps Out on Red Carpet With Kids

Michael Douglas attended the premiere of "Ant-Man" Wednesday, just days after his mother's passing. In support, Catherine Zeta-Jones and their two children joined the actor during the film's London screening.

In a rare family appearance, Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas stepped out on the red carpet with their two children, Dylan and Carys, reports U.K.'s the Express. Michael Douglas had a sad look in his eyes but still managed to give his fans a small smile, as shown in some of the red carpet snaps. Meanwhile, Catherine Zeta Jones looked beautiful and glamourous in a sparkly mini-dress, with her brunette tresses down in soft wavy curls.

The 12-year old Carys dress perfected matched her famous mother's attire. Carys donned a pale-colored sleeveless dress, with an intricate beadwork on the waist and a frilly skirt. The couple's eldest, Dylan, looked snappy in his all-black suit, white shirt and patterned tie. Douglas, on the other hand, wore a light grey suit partnered with a dark purple tie. The family of four held hands while posing for photographers on the red carpet.

The grieving 70 year old actor lost his mother on Friday, July 3. As previously reported, Douglas' mother, Diana, died at the age of 92 due to cancer. Diana met Michael's father, Kirk Douglas, in New York while studying acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. The two were together for eight years before divorcing in 1951. Diana's husband of 15 years, Donald Webster, announced the actress' passing via the Hollywood Reporter and Deadline last July 4.

Catherine Zeta-Jones took to Instagram earlier this week, to share a touching tribute, reports Hello! magazine. The "Zorro" star wrote: "Diana we are so grateful to have had you in our lives. We will miss you everyday. Until we meet again...Love you very much." The actress also included a vintage photo of Diana Douglas in the Instagram post.

Michael Douglas stars as Scott Lang's mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, in the sci-fi movie "Ant-Man."
