The "Empire" star Taraji P. Henson lists her longtime Glendale house for rent. The star is charging $3,400 a month for interested parties who are looking to live in the cozy Spanish home.

Henson bought the Spanish style house in 2002 for $431,000. Just before landing a role in the sci-fi series "Person of Interest" in 2010, the actress transferred the title to a trust, reports Zillow. The 1,406 square foot house boasts of views of the Glendale hills and has two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.

It also features a fully equipped kitchen with new appliances, big French doors and dark hardwood floors. The house has high ceilings, a large swimming pool, and a covered patio perfect for intimate barbeque and pool parties. There's also a separate room just outside the second bedroom that can double up as an office. According to the listing, the property sits in a prime location and pets may also be considered.

The Zillow report also mentions the "Hustle & Flow" star's frugality. Henson previously said that she has always been very low maintenance and lived modestly in the same San Fernando Valley house for many years. The star has since moved on to a bigger house in Los Angeles, leaving behind the house she's called home for nearly a decade.

The proceeds of the Glendale house rental will be a nice addition to Henson's total net worth which is $6 million, reports Celebrity Net Worth. The singer and actress made her small screen debut in the late 1990's, appearing in two NBC series, namely "Homicide: Life on the Street" and "ER." Henson's touching performance as the mother to Brad Pitt's backward growing character in the 2008 movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" garnered a lot of attention. The actress was even nominated for Best Supporting Actress from the Academy awards and the Screen Actors Guild. Since then, Henson participated in several projects which includes "The Karate Kid," "Date Night," "Larry Crowne" and "Think Like A Man."

Currently, Henson stars as the feisty Cookie Lyon in the hit TV series "Empire." Meanwhile, the rental for Henson's Spanish style home is handled by Venessa Blair of the John Aaroe Group.
