Recent speculations pointed out that tech giant Apple is planning to unveil the new 2016 MacBook Air alongside the latest MacBook Pro and iPad this coming October. Apple's new MacBook Air is reportedly an "overhaul" of the current 2015 MacBook Air and will have new design and features, Master Herald reported on Sunday.
Master Herald noted that Apple's new 2016 MacBook Air will likely be available on March 2016, as rumors suggest. The report came up with such speculation after Apple has reportedly offered big discounts to its customers and implemented an all-out sale on some of its present laptop product lines. For instance, the company came up with discount deals earlier this month for the 2015 MacBook Air, MacBook Pro models and Apple's latest smartphones.
Apple's new 2016 MacBook Air, as VC Post's report stressed, will compete directly with Microsoft's recent flagship computing device, the Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Various online reports have speculated that the new 2016 MacBook Air will be available in different versions. For instance, a rumored 2016 MacBook Air model will reportedly offer 4 GB of Random Access Memory (RAM), and another model will sport a 256 GB Static Disc Drive. The report added that a top-tier model will be powered by Core i7 CPU, 8 GB of RAM and 512 SSD.
However, Master Herald disclosed that Apple will likely use Intel's new core processor, the Core M-based Skylake chip, for its new 2016 MacBook Air product line. Apple's new MacBook Air laptop will be equipped with an improved Retina display that offers high resolution. It will be available in two different sizes, the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models.
Moreover, Gotta Be Mobile claimed that MacBook Air 2016 will be able to surpass the specifications of the 2015 model. The reported new laptop will feature an extremely thin frame with a newly designed keyboard. The report cited that "ports" are one of the hardware features that Apple users, mostly professionals, are expecting to be integrated in the new MacBook model.
