On Thursday, OnePlus Team has disclosed that its upcoming flagship smartphone, OnePlus 2, will reportedly sport a larger 3,300 mAh battery. The OnePlus 2's size, however, will actually be smaller than its predecessor, as revealed by the OnePlus team during an Ask Me Anything Session on Reddit, Tech Times reported.
In Reddit's AsK Me Anything (AMA) session, the OnePlus team answered a query from a Redditor about the battery specifications and features of the upcoming OnePlus 2 smartphone. The OnePlus Team also shared other details during Thurday's Ask Me Anything session.
"Although the OnePlus 2 is smaller than the OnePlus One, we've managed to pack [in] almost 10 percent more juice. The OnePlus 2 will have a whooping 3,300mAh battery! Camera-wise, we have a bunch of things that we believe will set the OnePlus 2 apart, but we'll leave the details for the launch," said OnePlus Team as quoted from Tech Times report.
As Tech Times noted, the recently revealed 3, 300mAh battery capacity is reportedly a single specification that will complete the OnePlus 2. It added that OnePlus 2 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, which was revised to be less heat-prone. The smartphone will reportedly run on 4 GB of Random Access Memory.
The new smartphone comes with a finger scanner technology and will reportedly feature a USB Type-C port. A related report from 9to5google said that OnePlus team has also revealed that the company's flagship smartphone, which will be marketed in Europe/Asia and North America, will have a better cellular band support. However, the company denied that its flagship smartphone will be able to support wireless charging.
Meanwhile, OnePlus mobile phone users will be able to see the OnePlus 2 smartphone model on July 27 via a new-fangled virtual reality show. The report indicated that a release date will likely be announced on the same day. The price of the OnePlus 2 smartphone is pegged between $322 and $450, according to 95to5google.com.
