Fans of the film series, "The Expendables," might be in no luck yet in seeing the fourth installment of the film but they have not to be saddened by this. According to the article by The Hollywood Reporter, Lionsgate partnered with Millennium Films and Hong Kong based Mobile game developer Fifth Journey for the creation of the mobile game of the said movie and that it would be released on late 2016, available for mobile phones and tablets.
The announcement was made by Lionsgate's president of interactive ventures and games, Peter Levin and the co-founder and CEO of Fifth Element, Eric Tan. According to Variety, Levin also said that "Combining a powerful brand, a global fanbase stretching from North America to China and cutting edge technology, 'The Expendables' is the perfect cross-platform property to build into an action-packed mobile game loaded with state-of-the-art features."
There were already three games that were released for the film installments, the first was published by Ubisoft which can be played via personal computer, Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade named "The Expendables 2 Videogame." Another was "The Expendables 2: Deploy & Destroy" which is a single-player game which was published by Roadshow Films and Soap Creative. And lastly a hybrid based game named "The Expandabros" which was released after two years after the third installment.
Also, according to Variety, "The Expendables" mobile game that will be developed might be ready to be played by fans in the end of 2016 and might coincide with the release of the fourth installment of the film. Fans would definitely not wait to play with their favorite characters in the movie.
"The Expendables" which already shown its three franchise films reached worldwide box office hit of $800 million; the movie was known for the all-star cast by veteran and well-known action stars like Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, and a lot more.
