Marvel Cinema Update: ‘Deadpool’ Trailer Leaked and Fans Are Happy

San Diego Comic Con's line-up for Saturday, July 11, was a rousing success! It was made even more exciting with the massive fan support that the movie "Deadpool" received. Exclusive footage of the film was shown during the convention, but unfortunately leaked versions of the video made it to the internet. This had major movie studios thinking whether to present exclusive content in the future.

"Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds gave Comic Con conventioneers a big surprise when he presented the trailer for his upcoming Marvel superhero film. The exclusive footage received a standing ovation and had fans chanting to have the trailer shown again. This is a rare occurrence in Comic Con history. The movie was reportedly hot news over Twitter and received more feedback than Warner's "Superman v Batman," states the New York Times.

The 20th Century Fox film is about a sarcastically funny and smart-mouthed Marvel anti-hero. The "Green Lantern" star told Marvel fans at the San Diego Comic Con that it took them 11 years to get the film where it is now, reports the Wall Street Journal. Reynolds even thanked the fans for pushing the studio to make "Deadpool" and shared that it was "a miracle" that the studio allowed them to make the film.

Meanwhile, the film's director Tim Miller, also shared the movie's confusing ratings. Given the violent scenes, crude language and use of expletives, the ratings started from R, then PG-13 and back to R again. Miller added that with the forthcoming release of "Deadpool", the world is ready for something new.

Unfortunately, after the movie studio and cast members enjoyed their successful Comic Con panel, unauthorized copies of the exclusive footage were leaked to the internet. According to Deadline, presentations of Warner Bros. "Suicide Squad" and Fox's "Deadpool" ended up online and had major studios thinking whether they should show exclusive material in the future. Insiders told Deadline that this copyright breach may affect future Comic Con presentations.

"Deadpool" is set for release early next year.
