“Outlander Season 2” Update: Season 2 New Faces Revealed, Spoilers, Teaser Trailer and Bloopers

"Outlander" is a beloved, immensely popular book series and television show across the globe. As a tribute to the fans, they will have the chance to look at the anticipated 13-episode second season which is expected to air on Starz network in 2016.

According to the news reported by the ET Online, a synopsis was released by the "Outlander".

"In case you aren't a book fan and hadn't heard, "Outlander" will make good on its promise laid out in the season 1 finale. Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) will be sent to France for season 2, hell-bent on infiltrating the Jacobite rebellion led by Prince Charles Stuart, and stopping the battle of Culloden.

With the help of his cousin Jared, Jamie and Claire are thrown into the extravagant world of French society - where parties are abundant, but political gain is far less fruitful. Altering the course of history may present challenges that begin to weigh on the very fabric of their relationship. Armed with the knowledge of what lies ahead, Claire and Jamie must race to prevent a doomed Highland uprising - and the extinction of Scottish life as they know it." ET Online added.

And based on ET Online's report, "Outlander" also revealed its new cast members for season 2 namely Louise de Rohan (Claire Sermonne), Laurence Dobiesz (Alexander Randall),Marc Duret (Monsieur Joseph Duverney), Margaux Chatelier (Annalise de Marillac), Andrew Gower (Bonnie Prince Charlie), Rosie Day (Mary Hawkins), Dominique Pinon (Master Raymond) and Stanley Weber (Le Comte St. Germain).

Another surprise will be Robert Cavanah will play Jared in season 2! Jared will be Jamie's Scottish cousin who lives in Paris, France. He is a successful wine merchant and also a strong Jacobite. Jamie and Claire will live in his mansion in Paris in Season 2. They will also manage his business while he travels to the West Indies.

Claire will also meet Jared at his warehouse on the docks of Le Havre, before he shows the couple around based on Diana Gabaldon's "Dragonfly in Amber", Access Hollywood reported.
