Famous country music songstress, Carrie Underwood, hit the news Saturday when she was reported to have been forced to break the windows of her own car to save her baby who was locked inside. Underwood tweeted about the incident later on to clarify what actually happened.
"I should clarify. My bro-in-law was actually the window breaker in the "dogs-locked-the-car-door" incident today! But all is good now!" Then she added, "Minus the broken window, of course!"
The 32-year-old singer told fans that it was actually her brother-in-law smashed the window to rescue almost-five-months-old Isaiah.
The music artist reportedly said that her two dogs inadvertently managed to lock themselves in the car along with baby Isaiah and that made her went into panic mode. Good thing that her car windows are breakable.
On an interview of Yahoo Parenting with director of child safety organization Kids and Cars, Amber Rollins said "A lot of people would have swept it under the rug and not said anything... This is actually very common, but we don't have statistics on how often it happens because people don't report it when the child wasn't harmed."
Rollins continued that, "This happens to the type of parents who take every safety precaution and do everything they can to protect their child...It can happen to any well-intended person. You put your keys down for two seconds and you're distracted - there are a million different scenarios that can lock a child in a car, and it happens so quickly."
Underwood is married to National Hockey League player Mike Fisher, and they have recently celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary last July 10. Fisher plays for the Nashville Predators while Carrie Underwood shot to fame when she won the title of American Idol during its fourth season in 2005.
The couple welcomed their first child together on February 27 of this year and have happily shared adorable snapshots of little Isaiah on social media.
