Demi Lovato's recent Instagram post reflects a different Demi. The singer is now reportedly confident with her body, thanks to her boyfriend of five years, Wilmer Valderrama, who made it possible for her to realize that she must appreciate her curves.
On Lovato's Instagram post on Saturday night, July 11, the "Heart Attack" hitmaker was seen displaying her long legs while showing her curvy body in a pink and white floral outfit. In her caption, she advised everyone to learn to appreciate their curves. She wrote that she used to hate her body then but it was her boyfriend who has had helped her appreciate it.
"Learn to lurrrrrvveee yerrrrr currrrrvveees... I actually used to hate them... But then a special someone helped me learn how to love them... And he sure loves them.... #squats #COOLFORTHESUMMER," the singer captioned the photo she shared with her 18.6 million Instagram followers.
Earlier on Saturday, another Instagram post was seen on her page. She was being carried by Valderrama while wearing blue sunglasses, black bra and open-slit skirt showing-off her curvy legs. She wrote, "When you're too #CoolForTheSummer #legs #thickthighs #curves."
Lovato's story is not the same five years ago. She battled bulimia for several years. She was even addicted to various substances. She was sent to rehab for these reasons in late 2010. The "Skyscraper" singer has reportedly always felt insecure about her body, and she became obsessed with food and hated it at the same time after consuming it.
"I was obsessing over food and terrified of it at the same time. Wilmer noticed and called me out on it, which was a relief," Lovato told Daily Mail back in December 2014.
Lovato's battle with eating disorders and substance addiction lasted until 2013. She was also diagnosed with bipolar disorder, People reports. The following years, she learned to appreciate her body more by taking care of it and eating well-balanced meals. Apart from changes in her lifestyle, the beautiful singer credits the positive changes to Valderrama.
