'Grey's Anatomy' Season 12 Spoilers & Cast Updates: Is It Over Between April and Jackson & Will Arizona and Callie Rekindle Their Romance?

After the death of Derek Sheperd, a.k.a. McDreamy (Patrick Dempsey), life has to go on in Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Vine Report added that "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 will have new promising characters that will add more drama to the show.

One of the things that fans are reportedly excited about is the reconciliation of some of the famous couples in the show. In Season 12, April (Sarah Drew) and Jackson (Jesse Williams) will really need to work on their marriage after the death of their newborn son Samuel. Sarah Drew revealed in an earlier interview that their love story has not ended yet and it was not permanently damaged by the tragic event. However, their relationship is still hanging by a thread. April also gets to be promoted as chief of surgery and will have to handle the politics her new position requires.

Master Herald also added that April revealed to Jackson that she was planning to go back to the Army and Jackson gave her his blessing. However, he told April that he may not wait for her to come back. As of writing, it is still not clear what will really happen to the two characters as a couple or individually. It seems like it is all in the hands of April and she needs to figure out what she wants. Drew revealed that she hopes that the couple will still continue their relationship in the future.

Another loved couple in the show is Dr. Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) and Dr. Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw). It was reported earlier that the contracts for both actresses have been renewed and fans are hoping that the two will rekindle their romance in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, returning to the show as a regular is Dr. Ben Warren (Jason George). Meredith's (Ellen Pompeo) new love interest might also be Martin Henderson, who is a 40-year-old New Zealand actor who will play the role of a new surgeon at the hospital.

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 will premiere on ABC on September 24.
