'Warcraft' Movie: First Feature-Length Trailer to Be Released in November, Director Confirms

"Warcraft," the upcoming movie that will feature a battle between Orcs and humans, will reportedly get its first feature-length trailer in November. According to Screen Rant, a statement was issued on Twitter on July 11 wherein writer and director Duncan Jones and Legendary Pictures announced the November release of the trailer of the movie, which is based on the video game of the same name from Blizzard Entertainment.

Jones, the English writer and director of the independent science-fiction films "Moon" and "Source Code," was also present at the recently concluded San Diego Comic-Con event, doing promotional work for "Warcraft," the report said. During the event, Jones also unveiled two Weta statues of the characters Orgrim and King Llane, which are supplements to the official film logo and posters that show rivals Lothar and Durotan.

According to Food World News, the film will follow the storyline of the original game. Actor Robert Kazinsky, who will play Orgrim in the film, said, "I'm a gamer and I know what I'm expecting, I know what you're expecting from this thing, and I promise you [director] Duncan Jones has made the movie you want to see."

Aside from this, Jones is also poised to produce two more films to complete a trilogy of the Blizzard franchise. The report said that the writer/director is eager to continue working with Blizzard's "Warcraft" creator Chris Metzen in the continuation of the popular video game franchise for the big screen in what had been initially conceived as a trilogy. The first "Warcraft" movie is expected to be released on June 10, 2016, the report said.

"Warcraft: Orcs & Humans" is a real-time strategy game developed by Blizzard and published together with Interplay Entertainment. The series is composed of four other core games, namely: "Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness," "Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos," "World of Warcraft," and "Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft."
