Rambo will Fight ISIS in 'Last Blood'?

Netizens were abuzz as various reports came out stating that actor Sylvester Stallone supposedly made a revelation that he and his team has been scouting locations for the fifth installment of the Rambo film series. The rumors went on that Stallone claimed that they were eyeing Iraq and parts of Syria where ISIS have their greatest strongholds and were working with the locals to help deliver the most intense and realistic movie experience ever. He reportedly announced this during an appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con last week to create hype for 'Creed', the latest Rocky film franchise.

The reports were swiftly debunked as the action star's representative issued a statement in Rollingstone saying: "Sylvester Stallone did not attend Comic-Con 2015, and consequently there was no official remark from him regarding Rambo made there at the event." The statement continued, "This is not an accurate report."

Rambo is a film series based on the novel of David Morrell, "First Blood". The first film starred Sylvester Stallone as John Rambo, a special skill set expert but troubled Vietnam War veteran and former US Army Special Forces soldier. The film series consisted of "First Blood", released in 1982,"Rambo: First Blood Part II", released in 1985, "Rambo III", released in 1988, and "Rambo", released in 2008.

The 2008 "Rambo" movie managed to profit $113M worldwide and in February of 2009, Sylvester Stallone informed Reuters in an interview that making a fifth Rambo movie would depend on the success of the last one but that he thought he was "gearing one up" and that it would "be quite different". Now, the Rambo versus ISIS rumors, if nothing else, has only sparked the interest of fans as to when the Last Blood film would finally be set.

Rambo is not the only franchise that the 69-year-old action star is enthusiastic to keep on going, it has been reported that Creed, the 7th installment of the Rocky film franchise is set on November of this year.
