Tracy Morgan Car Accident Update: '30 Rock' Alum Finally Drives His Own Car After Tragic Incident

Tracy Morgan was seen for the first time driving his brand new $441,600-worth Lamborghini Aventador Roadster on Saturday, July 11. The news comes after his tragic car accident and year-long rest behind the limelight. He is said to be slowly recuperating and moving on following the accident last summer that left his friend James McNair dead.

The 46-year-old comedian was hurdled in traffic near Metropolitan Museum of Art when he was spotted by FOX 5 anchor Steve Lacy, who took a photo of Morgan. The former "30 Rock" star immediately flashed a "peace sign" suggesting that he is now in a healthy state. Lacy had a quick conversation with the comedian, who claimed that he is feeling better now.

"He looked and sounded EXACTLY like the Tracy Morgan we all know and love," Lacy stated in an e-mail to The Post. When Lacy asked how he is he feeling these days, the comedian replied, "Good, man. Just being careful behind the wheel," Page Six reports.

Meanwhile, Lacy posted the photo on his Instagram account with the caption, "How great is this?! Spotted Tracy Morgan behind the wheel of a Lamborghini this weekend in #NYC. Check my FB 'fan page' for what he said to me."

Lacy also shared the update on his Facebook page where the FOX 5 anchor detailed his conversation with the comedian, USA Today reports. It is reportedly obvious that he is a huge fan of Morgan as he ended his post with, "Much love Tracy!"

Morgan has made limited public appearances since the accident. Earlier this month, he was seen spending time with his fiancée Megan Wollover and their two-year-old daughter, Maven Morgan, at Walt Disney World in Florida, according to E! News.

Morgan was seen in his first TV appearance after the tragic accident in "Today" show last month. He stated that he has not "100 percent" recovered from the experience that almost killed him.
