New Samsung Galaxy Tab S Pro in The Works To Rival iPad Pro; Device To Be Announced With Galaxy Tab S2 Launch This Month [Rumors]

Rumor has it that Samsung is currently working on its new flagship tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S Pro, to rival Apple's iPad Pro. The rumored tablet will be officially announced alongside the launch of Galaxy Tab S2 this month, a report from Master Herald said on Tuesday.

Furthermore, Yibada reports that two Samsung Galaxy Tab models have recently passed certification, which reportedly hints that the devices are in the works. The two Galaxy Tab models identified are the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 model and the Galaxy Tab 9.7 model, with device numbers SM-T715 and SM-T815, respectively. According to Yibada, both Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 models will reportedly sport Samsung's trademark AMOLED display with 2048x1536 screen resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio, which offers a stunning visual experience.

Meanwhile, according to Master Herald, the rumored Samsung Galaxy Tab S Pro will be a bigger version of the previous Galaxy Tab S model and the soon-to-be-unveiled Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. It further stressed that the rumored device will apparently become Samsung's first hybrid tablet in the seemingly congested laptop market, which at present is dominated by the Microsoft Surface Pro product line.

A related report from Christian Today also disclosed that Samsung has reportedly trademarked a device named "Tab S Pro." The report said that the patent application filed on July 3 indicates the applicant as Samsung Electronics Co, LTD through its agent, Dong Won Patent and Law Firm. The patent application was reportedly leaked via an article on Galaxyclub.nl.

According to the same report, the Galaxyclub.nl website is a personal blog owned by a Dutch and features contents dedicated to the Galaxy product lines. The blog reportedly mentioned "Galaxy Tab S Pro."
