Realtors have to invest not just time but also resources in closing a deal to prospective homebuyers. The most recent and concrete example is the real estate property deal closed by Branden Williams and Rayni Romito Williams, a couple who owns the real estate firm Williams & Williams.
Business Insider reveals that the owners of Williams & Williams would approach billionaires and offer them over-the-top real estate properties.
The Williamses had offered the 23,000-square-foot Beverly Hills mansion to Markus Persson for $70 million. The acquisition of this property was a record in the area. According to the report, Persson had outbid Hollywood couple Jay Z and Beyonce Knowles in December. The couple had visited the said property several times.
The mansion has an infinity pool including 8 bedrooms and 15 restrooms. To add, the property has been furnished with quite a number of expensive decor. The living room has an estimate of $500,000 Bentley Living room set as well as a wine cellar with a collection of Dom Perignon's wine.
The Times says that the realtor has spent $50,000 per month on billboard advertisement on Sunset Boulevard just to promote the property besides their print ads in luxury magazines.
Swedish video game programmer Persson, who is best known for creating Minecraft, came to Los Angele to visit the property. The realtor couple hired a chef to prepare the lamp chops meal of their VIP client Markus. It has been reported that the chef's services cost $5,000. However, instead of lamb chops, Persson wanted sushi. Despite the change of menu at the very last minute, the Williamses were able to serve sumptuous sushi from renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa. The platters of sushi were especially served by a group of models.
In the report of LA Curbed, it says that the transaction of the Williamses with Markus "Notch" Persson didn't come out of nowhere. It was a product of hard work and money. It was reported that the realtors spent $300,000 just to sell the mansion. Everything paid off when the property was sold at $70 million. The property was listed at that time for $85 million.
