‘The Iron Giant’ Special Event Screening: See the Beloved Animated Film Again in the Big Screen plus Loads of Surprises!

The 1999 animated movie "Iron Giant" which celebrated its 15th anniversary last year will be shown again this 2015. According to Entertainment Weekly, the movie will have a special-event screening on Sept 30 and an encore show on Oct 4 in some selected theaters around the country.

According to the Collider, when they interviewed Director Brad Bird regarding this last May 11, 2015, he said that "They know that people have a fondness for it." He also said that "Part of the attraction of movies is not just a big screen. It's being with strangers and sharing a dream at the same moment. Anything that kind of bolsters the confidence in the theatrical experience I think is good. I would love to see Iron Giant get back into theaters even if only for a week."

Entertainment Weekly also indicated what CEO of Fathom Events about this upcoming special event, "We can't wait to bring this family favorite back its home on the big screen," and "The Iron Giant is meant to be seen and heard in movie theaters and this is a great chance for fans new and old to enjoy this classic, remastered with new scenes."

"The Iron Giant" is a beloved animated sci-fi movie last shown in 1999; based on the 1968 novel by Ted Hughes. It is a remarkable story about friendship. The movie is known by the phrase said by Hogart to the giant, "You are who you choose to be." The movie received a lot praises, commendations even won 21 awards in various categories.

The Iron Giant was voiced-over by famous celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Vin Diesel, Harry Connick Jr., and Christopher McDonald.

So set the dates in your calendars, Sept 30 at around 7 pm and on Oct 4 at around 12 pm, check participating cinemas for this. You won't want to miss this as the people behind it added two new scenes for these special screening events.
