'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' Release Date, News, Cast: Casey Jones Gets A Makeover

Paramount has officially announced that they will be releasing the follow-up on their 2014 remake of the 90s hit film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Christian Post reported. According to Paramount's CEO Brad Grey, "To know movie goers are embracing the Turtles with such enthusiasm is everything that we and all our filmmakers have been hoping for. We are thrilled with this weekend's result, the enduring power of this franchise, and the opportunity to make another one."

Actors Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec were reported to return as well as Michael Bay but the director is yet to be determined since the first film drew a lot of negative feedback from the directing point of view.

The producer is also reported to be in talks with the other actors who has voiced the other Turtles as well as Megan Fox.

In relation to this, IGN reported that Casey Jones will be included in the film but most likely will dish out his outdated outfit. Although, the character and his antique weapons will still be the same, the appearance will be altered a bit to fit the era of the film. Stephen Amell will play Jones and confirmed on the interview that the improved Casey Jones is the same Jones, not his father or son, it just the time that made him different from what the fans grew up with.

In the film, Jones will have a regular job who lives in New York and is die hard hockey fan. When things go awry, he decides to take things into his own hands.

The movie will be dropped in theaters on June 3, 2016.
