"Real Housewives of New York" Update: Heather Thomson Leaving after Season 3

Yummie designer Heather Thomson will be moving out of the reality show "The Real Housewives of New York City", a source confirmed on Us Weekly. Thomson "wants to focus full-time on her business, Yummie, her family, and expanding into the health and nutrition arena," the source stated.

Known for her catch-phrase "Holla!", Thomson's role on the show has changed since she came on RHONY three seasons ago. "The cons of doing the show far outweigh the pros at this point, and what the show has become don't fit what she wants to be doing," the source continued. "It devolved into ridiculous fights over the ridiculous antics of some unstable women."

Thompson's shapewear company, called Yummie, is the reason she signed in for RHONY, "She did the show to promote her business and later to be with her best friend, Carole Radziwill, and didn't expect it to end up with fighting with Bethenny and Sonja and the rest edited out," the insider added. "It is no longer a good fit with where she sees her life going so she is making the choice to walk away."

This season, the company owner's story lines have revolved around her fighting with costars and Thomson finally decided that she does not want anymore involvement in the drama.

A report from People Magazine said that the shapewear designer addressed a recent feud with costar LuAnn de Lesseps telling NBC's New York Live, "We have so much to talk about on what's happening on the show right now ...I mean, who can even think about next season, let's stick to this season."

Thomson fought with de Lesseps when she woke up and found a naked man de Lesseps brought home during their Turks and Caicos trip. "This guy, they didn't know his last name, barely knew his first name, had just flown to the island that night, I found out, you know, our belongings were there, to me it's just irresponsible," the report added.

The Real Housewives of New York City airs every Tuesday night at 9 (ET) on Bravo TV.
