Everybody has to face their fears at some point in time. That is what Hollywood star, Kate Hudson, did on NBC's "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" who overcame her fear of eating ants. Not only that, she also conquered the Dolemites mountain range where she hiked and camped out where there were no cozy beds. In a pre-show interview the stunning actress star said, "When I was younger I would camp more and sort of rest in the outdoors...and then as I got older I like a cozy bed." In the said show the TV's adventure-seeker, Bear Grylls, challenged the star to physical and mental activities completely new to her. In the show, Grylls pushed her to a challenge of eating ants for protein and cook a pigeon. Hudson took the challenge and said that it wasn't so bad after trying it.
When Grylls spotted group of pigeon to hunt, her initial reaction was, "Are they already dead?". What the TV survivalist did to the pigeon he caught came as a big surprise to the "Almost Famous" star. She said, "He just ripped the head off of it...That might give me nightmares because he's just insane."
Her experience in the remote Italian Alps made her feel a little comfortable enough to share a bit of her personal life to Grylls. Aside from admitting that she has no contact with her biological father, she also talked about her close relationship with Kurt Russell-- her mother's long time love whom she refers to as "Pa". She said to Grylls that, "Kurt's not my real dad, but Kurt was amazing. He raised us from the age of 3. Only until (sic) I got older did I really look at it and go, 'That's a real taking on for a man..."
Speaking about her biological father, Hudson honestly said she has no relationship with her real father.
