"Twilight" and "The Young and the Restless" actress Nikki Reed has just obtained a regular role as Betsy Ross in the third season of the mystery adventure drama "Sleepy Hollow," a television series by Fox. The third season will run on October 2015.
Reed plays the character of Betsy Ross who is from the previous episode who said to be the former love interest of Ichabod Crane played by Tom Mison.
According to Variety, Betsy Ross is a seamstress who was known to design and sew the U.S. first flag. It was also described there that she displays unsuspected prowess along with her sexiness and one of the mysterious spies of the secret operative of George Washington.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, co-creator and Executive Producer Len Wiseman said "We are all very excited to welcome Nikki Reed into the world of Sleepy Hollow." "Nikki's the perfect choice to bring a smart and sexy edge to our show's twisted version of American icon, Betsy Ross."
The show is in replenishment of the regular casts for the new season as some of the characters played by Katia Winter and John Noble were already killed and also because of the exit of Orlando Jones according to Variety.
Something to watch out for the fans of the TV series and Nikki Reed, the series "Sleepy Hollow" started to premiere on Sept. 16, 2013. It is a modernized adaptation of the halloween short story by Washington Irving, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow."
The set of this series is located in Sleepy Hollow in New York but previous episode were filmed in North Carolina and Atlanta.
Reed is best known as Rosalie Hale in "The Twilight Saga" and for movies such as "Thirteen," "Lords of Dogtown," and "Mini's First Time."
Apart from being a gorgeous actress, Reed is also a songwriter, singer, screenwriter, and a model. Just last April 26, 2015, she married "The Vampire Diaries" hot and famous actor Ian Somerhalder.
