Reports of John Travolta being gay is an old story. However, Travolta facing his former pilot and alleged ex-lover would reportedly take the issue to a different level. The former "Saturday Night Fever" alum is set to meet Doug Gotterba in court to fight for his stance regarding his former employees' allegations.
According to Gotterba, he and Travolta had a six-year affair in the 1980s, a claim denied by the "Pulp Fiction" actor. The news was reportedly repulsed by the actor and his camp, claiming that the allegations were "ridiculous." They also claimed that Gotterba signed an Alto employment termination agreement in 1987 that prohibits him to talk about his former boss.
However, Gotterba apparently believes Travolta forged his signature on the said confidentiality agreement to keep him silent about him being gay, according to Radar Online. In a court document, Gotterba insisted that the signature appears to be his, but he insists he was not the one who signed it especially because the signature appears without a date on it.
"[The signed confidentiality agreement] is not legitimate, because [I] never would have signed [my] name with the date out of place," said Gotterba.
"[It is] impossible to determine whether [the contract with the confidentiality clause] is authentic, because Gotterba's signature could have been cut and pasted from another document," the legal documents read, according to Kpopstarz.
Back in 2012, at the height of John Travolta gay rumors, Gotterba and his ex-boyfriend Robert Britz, whom the pilot was seeing after Travolta, had an interview where they dished information about his secret affair with the actor in the 1980s.
It was in the interview with National Enquirer that Britz first revealed his relationship with the actor for six years. He claims that he and Travolta started their relationship in September when he was the actor's pilot in Alto Aviation and that they split in 1987. Gotterba later on said that he's going to write a book about his relationship with the "Grease" actor.
