June 12, 2016 is far from the present date but Buckingham Palace is already set for preparations on this said date. Last Thurday, the Buckingham Palace announced a colorful "street party" that will be known as the "Patron's Lunch."
The said party according to Hello Magazine is to mark the milestone birthday of Queen Elizabeth II turning 90 next year.
The Guardian mentioned that the party is to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II for her patronage of over 600 charities and organizations in the UK and the Commonwealth nations.
The street party is being set up in the road leading up to the Buckingham Palace which is known as The Mall located in St. James Park, London.
It is regarded as the biggest street party next year that could host 10,000 guests. Hello Magazine also cited in their article that on this event, Union Jack flags will be flown and guests will enjoy entertainment and most especially, hamper-style lunches positioned on tables that are stretched full length to The Mall.
Most guests will be from the people behind the charities and organizations of the queen and belonging to 17 different sectors - from children, young people, elderly, and armed services.
Meanwhile, for those that would not be able to have a ticket for the event could still see the event through giant screens which will be placed in Royal Parks, Green Park, and St. James Park.
The event will also raise money for the Patron's Fund for the charities of Queen Elizabeth II in Britain and other Commonwealth nations.
The idea for the event came from Queen Elizabeth II's eldest grandson Peter Phillips, director of Sports Entertainment Ltd, who called the idea "fantastic." Philips would also help out in organizing the event.
Queen Elizabeth II is the Head of the Commonwealth and the Supreme Governor of the Church of England. She has been reigning for 63 years and her official birthdate is April 21, 1926.
