Marvel fans are still waiting for the "Captain Marvel" movie which is set to premiere in 2018. According to Cinemablend, the two women who are currently writing the script seem to have some issues and are faced with some creative challenges.
Nicole Perlman is co-writing the script with Meg LeFauve, and in Perlman's interview she revealed that she finds it hard to navigate the different puzzling variable of "feminist politics" in the story. Perlman is no stranger to huge movies like this since she also co-wrote for the movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy." The writers revealed that it is complicated to write the story of Carol Danvers, also known as Captain Marvel.
Perlamn said in an interview, "We have this constant back-and-forth about how to tell a story that is compelling, entertaining, moving, kick-ass, and fun, and also be aware of what those larger implications might be. It's a lot more complicated than just writing 'Guardians.'"
In addition, Perlman revealed that one of her main difficulties in capturing the essence of the character is on how to portray the character's strength as she avoids her newly acquired powers. She describes the character as "Superman with boobs."
With "Wonder Woman" hitting the theaters first, Perlman and LeFauve apparently have quite the task ahead of them. According to Joblo, the movie is still looking for its main cast and also its director. It still has a long way to go before it hits the movie theaters in 2018.
Marvel Studios is reportedly in no rush to get the film in production and they want to handle the film just right. This is because the movie will feature a lot of characters that the audiences may not be familiar with.
Marvel fans are reportedly excited as to how Captain Marvel will enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans will just have to wait and see as it hits the theaters on November 2, 2018.
