Newlyweds Nicky Hilton and James Rothschild is spending their honeymoon on safari with elephants, says a report from Bravo. The happy couple shared a snapshot on Instagram showing their earthy adventure captioned, "Honeymoon adventures". Hilton sure looked the part as she was comfortably dressed down in tan Timbaland work boots, skinny jeans, a flannel shirt, and a floppy hat in the photograph. The 365 Style author was casually observing an elephant in its natural habitat while she sits in a vehicle, feet propped up and new wedding ring flashing.
UsWeekly reports that, after their fit-for-royalty wedding, Hilton and her new husband Rothschild flew out to Botswana for their honeymoon.
The fairy tale wedding grandly took place at the Orangery in London's Kensington Palace Gardens last July 10. Nicky is the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, who was the founder of Hilton Hotels. The heiress, Hilton, exchanged vows with Jewish banking-heir, Rothschild, dressed in a gorgeous ivory and silver guipure Valentino Haute Couture gown embellished with crystals and a pair of custom Christian Louboutins.
The only glitch in the wedding proceedings was when the bride's sheer vintage lace cathedral veil got caught under the tire of a Bentley as she headed to the palace.
Her celebrity sister, Paris, served as maid-of-honor and a report from Bustle stated that she posted a sweet snap of the couple in Instagram. "So happy that my sister found the man of her dreams. They make the perfect couple!" her post continued.
The pair have been dating since 2011 and Rothschild did an unforgettable proposal in Lake Cuomo, Italy. The wedding was elegant and understandably, big names were on the guest list which included Naomi Cambell, Chelsea Clinton, Kate Beckinsale and Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend, Florence Brudenell-Bruce. Surprisingly though, the bride's younger brother Conrad, Aunt Kim Richards, and Uncle Mauricio Umansky were unable to attend.
Nicky Hilton was previously married to Todd Meister in 2004. The marriage was annulled after just three months.
