The brownstone featured in the 1961 movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" was already sold for $7.4 million after it being listed for $8 million, as reported in Zillow.
The brownstone is located at 169 East 71st Street, #169 in Lenox Hill, Manhattan.
The article added that the 3,800-square-foot brownstone has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a sweeping staircase and an enclosed greenhouse. The article mentioned that the house has an upper duplex wherein there are two bedrooms with bathrooms, a living room with wood-burning fireplace, a renovated kitchen, and a laundry room, while the lower duplex has a separate entrance with a garden apartment, a front library, a powder room and a large bedroom and one bathroom.
As cited in a listing from Street Easy, the house has four floors and a basement with an option to expand.
The four-storey house was on sale for the third time since 2008, as a report from Daily Mail. The article mentioned that Real estate Corcoran did not give the names of the new occupants.
In a separate article from Daily Mail, the exterior of the house was used for the movie and most of the indoor scenes were filmed in a Hollywood soundstage. In contrast, the article cited that there was a scene of Miss Golighty, played by Audrey Hepburn, wore a bed sheet and it was filmed in the living room of the house.
Although the building was used for exterior shots, the iconic stoop, front doors, and architectural accents are recognizable but the only difference is the disappearance of green-and-white-striped door over the window, as mentioned in another article from Daily Mail.
Asher Alcobi, a broker in Peter Ashe told The Observer that the previous owner decided to put the house on sale because it was too small for them and the attempts at renovations failed.
The picture of the house can be seen in Zillow, Curbed, Street Easy, and Daily Mail. There are no reports regarding on why the house was sold for $7.4 million.
