'Dance Moms' Season 5 Spoilers & Cast News: Coach Abby Lee Miller's Assault Battle Dismissed

"Dance Moms" alum Paige Hyland's assault charges against coach Abby Lee Miller were recently dropped by Los Angeles Supreme Court judge Ruth Anne Kwan. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hyland filed the lawsuit in October alleging that Miller threw a chair at her during the filming of an episode of "Dance Moms."

The lawsuit also noted that Miller is being paid by Lifetime to abuse and bully her students. Additionally, Hyland's lawsuit noted that she was abused by Miller on a daily basis by calling her names and insulting her physical appearance and more.

According to the publication, Kwan reviewed the footage of "Dance Moms" and found that there was no instance that could deliberately claim Miller assaulted the 14-year-old professional dancer. Meanwhile, Hyland's camp is not pleased with the judge's decision and while speaking with the same publication said that they are still reviewing all options available based on the court's ruling.

This is not the first time that the Hyland's filed a lawsuit against Miller. Last year, Hyland's mom Kelly also sued Miller after the latter tried to bite her. At that time, Kelly reportedly slapped Miller. However, the lawsuit was once again shunned by Kwan.

In other news, "Dance Moms" season 5 will no longer see Kalani Hilliker and her mom Kira Girard in the upcoming episodes. This is because on Tuesday night's episode, the mom and daughter tandem already confirmed their departure from the Lifetime series.

According to Hilliker, she no longer wants to be a part of the ALDC junior elite team under Miller's training because the coach doesn't want her anymore, according to International Business Times. Girard also clarified rumors that Hilliker is ungrateful for leaving the team only after she competed and won overall.

"Dance Moms" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
