Jonathan Frakes Net Worth: 'Star Trek' Actor Sells Los Angeles Home

Jonathan Frakes, has found a buyer for his Los Angeles home. Although initially listed at $12.495 million, the "Star Trek" actor sold it for $11.995 million.

Frakes, who played Commander William T. Riker in the TV series "Star Trek: The Next Generation," bought the house with wife Genie Francis in 1994, reports the Wall Street Journal. The property is located on Hazen Drive in the Beverly Hills Post Office area. The actor's 10,000 square foot red brick home has seven bedrooms and ten bathrooms. Lush greenery and trees surrounds the gated property which serves as a perfect backdrop while enjoying a dip on the large swimming pool and outdoor hot tub.

The house features a wood panelled living room, home office, gym and a media room. The large kitchen has black countertops and is connected to a sun room that leads to the backyard. The master suite has its own fireplace and a cozy sitting area. There's also a walk-in closet, along with a large master bath with a dipping tub.

The Wall Street Journal report also mentioned the property reportedly selling in only a day's time. The quick turnover, states Judy Feder, listing agent from Hilton & Hyland, was attributed to the home's "East Coast, Southern kind of feeling." The listing agent said that the design was uncommon in Los Angeles wherein houses with a Mediterranean or Spanish vibe are more popular. Feder added, "There are very few Georgian Colonial brick houses. They don't build that out here."

Aside from acting, the star is also an author, producer and director. In fact, Frakes directed several episodes from the Star Trek TV franchise along with two films namely "Star Trek: First Contact" and "Star Trek: Insurrection." The two movies were released in 1996 and 1998, respectively. The actor's net worth is estimated at $12 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
