Wedding bells could be ringing soon for One Direction member Liam Payne and longtime girlfriend Sophia Smith. According to numerous rumors, the longtime partners are now engaged.
The hashtag #SophiamIsEngaged led the Twitter trending chart on Sunday as a number of fans freaked out about the said engagement. Liam Payne, 21, and Sophia Smith, 21, have been dating since 2013. In addition, it was earlier reported that the couple even went to Disney World this month.
As of writing, there is still no clear response from the couple about the rumors. According to Metro UK, instead of addressing the rumor, Payne just retweeted one fan's message on his Twitter account.
Payne just said of the message, "I think this is my favorite tweet ever ahahahaha." The tweet was about all the huge changes that have been happening to the band this month. This includes Zayn Malik's earlier angry tweets to producer Naughty Boy, Louis Tomlison becoming a dad, and Harry Styles reportedly receiving death threats.
According to Inquisitr, there were also earlier rumors stating that Payne recently visited wedding planner Mindy Weiss. However, the singer denied this rumor.
With the huge news happening to One Direction members, fans are also reportedly watching out if Niall Horan will also have something in store for him over the next few days. This is because this is the second huge One Direction report that came out this week following the news that Tomlinson is now going to be a dad.
It was earlier reported that the 23-year-old Tomlinson is now expecting a baby with Los Angeles stylist and also 23-year-old Briana Jungwirth. The Directioners were incredibly shocked about the news and are still "demanding" an explanation from Tomlinson. According to Hollywood Life, Tomlinson had an emotional talk with his co-member Styles about the baby news.
