'Lego Batman' Release Date, Cast, News: Michael Cera to Voice Over The Dynamic Sidekick of Batman

"Batman" and "Lego Movie" fanaticos listen up, Warner Brothers' has just announced Lego Batman's new upcoming character and will also reveal the actor who will voiced over it.

Well, before we announce the new update...You might not suspect this coming and it might be an interesting move by the movie that the 27-year-old Canadian actor Michael Cera will be voicing over Robin in the upcoming Warner Brother's animated movie "Lego Batman" which is a spin-off of the "Lego Movie" released last May 20, 2014.

The character of Cera as Robin might just excite the fans of this animated spin-off movie as this is the first time his character will be seen again as the famous sidekick of the Dark Knight. What's not clarified was what kind of Robin portrayal will Cera be voicing over? If it might be more like Chris O' Donell's character in "Batman Forever" and "Batman and Robin" or simply the Robin portrayed in DC Comics? Cera will be working alongside Will Arnett who will voice over as Batman, The Dark Knight.

The movie spin-off according to The Hollywood Reporter will be produced by Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Phil Lord, and Christopher Miller. The writer for the movie will be author-screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith who is notable on his works "Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter" and "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies." it would be directed by Chris McKay who actually worked before as the animation supervisor for "The Lego Movie."

Little did we know that Cera has actually been voicing a lot of characters before at the onset of his career for varied characters like Brother Bear in "The Berenstain Bears," Josh Spitz in "Braceface," Robbie Rabbit in "Pecola."

And for movies, Cera is known for his timid, soft-spoken, average boy, a loser-type characters that are naturally adoring and comical. He is well-known in series such as "Arrested Development" and movies like "Juno," and "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist."

Catch Cera as he is also set to act again for the revival of "Arrested Development" and he is also going to do a voice role for an animated ensemble called "Sausage Party" which is set to open on Aug. 16, 2015 according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Lego Batman" is scheduled for release on February 10, 2017, as reported by Variety.
