Paltrow and Martin announced their marital breakup last 2014. Although it seemed that everything was smooth as the two broke up, Paltrow shared that the process wasn't as easy as they showed it to be. She says that she and Martin have gone through difficulties but they have always put their two kids at the top of their priorities. Meaning, even if they are going through misunderstandings, they managed to be together as a family because that is what the children needs. All these confessions were made during her conference in New York called #BlogHer15 where Paltrow managed to gracefully share her breakup experiences to the masses.
Despite all the tough times the couple went through after their split, Paltrow was clear to say that they both manage to prioritize their family every step of the way. In spite of the absence of a romantic relationship, they do not forget the importance of families and relationships. Paltrow commends Martin for his cooperation to maintain unity despite divorce. She says she is very lucky to have someone to do this with her.
Currently, both of them are separately dating other people. It was reported that Paltrow is seeing Brad Falchuk and Martin is seeing J Law on an on-off basis.
Paltrow also shares the strict upbringing she gives her to children. Even though she knows that things may be hard for the children and seeing other people may not be something their children would be comfortable with, Paltrow says that she does not give her children any special treatment. She says that she hinders their fast growth by making sure they do not get stuff that they are too young to own, such as phones. They do have iPads, but her eldest who is eleven as of the moment, demands a phone from time to time, but Paltrow insists that she is too young to get a phone.
