'Xena: Warrior Princess’ News, Cast: 70's Hit Series Making a Comeback on NBC?

"Xena: The Warrior Princess" is making a comeback after two decades on NBC and NBC Universal International within 2016 as sources confirm to Variety. The 70's hit series is currently being worked on by Rob Tampert, the original creator of the Lucy Lawless action drama series, and the executive manufacturer Sam Raimi. They are still however in search for a new writer.

Time Subscribe also confirmed that the comeback was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter and is now making a noise. Though they haven't confirmed any leads on who's taking the role, but Lucy Lawless, the one who played the original Xena back in the 70's would not appear on the original role though they might bring her back on screen or behind the cameras.

However, Lawless denied the reboot on Monday, July 21, 2015 in one of her tweets stating:

@RealLucyLawless "Sorry, Friends! News of a #Xena reboot is just a rumour. I'd love it to happen one day bit it's still in a wishful thinking stage. "

Though the 2016 debut for the new Xena is being talked about, there isn't any update regarding the episode order yet as it is still in its early planning stage though fans from all over the globe would be getting updates from the makers soon.

"Xena" would be one of the reboot projects that are currently being brewed along with the "Coach" a comedy series which was off air almost two decades ago. The new "Coach" series will be written by Berry Camp and would serve as an executive producer of the series and would be played by Craig Nelson himself. Along with the "Coach", "Heroes Reborn" would premier this fall, September 24, 2015 on NBC too. "Heroes Reborn" creator of the science fiction, Tim Kring, would return as an executive producer for the said series.
