Stephen Amell said that his character Oliver in "Arrow" should meet his son in the future. In a report, Screent Rant said that Connor Hawke, Oliver Queen's son, might be introduced sometime in the future of the TV series, especially that there were instances when the possibility was somewhat brought up. A specific instance is said to be during "The Flash" episode of Flash vs. Arrow, when Oliver bumped into an old flame in Central City, a nameless woman portrayed by actress Anna Hopkins.
The report also noted that the said woman also appeared in "Arrow" Season 2 and claimed to be pregnant with Oliver's child. However, in the said episode, Moira Queen, played by Susanna Thompson, paid the woman $2 million to leave town forever so as to eliminate a potential problem. After Oliver sees her in Central City, she is shown placing a call to their child, though she did not mention the child's name.
"Me personally being a dad, I would love to see how Oliver interacts with having a kid. Obviously, it would be a different experience from that experience, but I think that storyline deserves further attention. One of the big tenants of Greg Berlanti is you don't introduce something to the audience, you don't tease it if you are not going to follow through with it [in] some shape or form. So I think it's a safe bet that Oliver will find out about his child at some point," Amell said.
Oliver meeting his son reportedly seems to be a big possibility because in the comics, Connor Hawke meets his father, but only when he is already fully grown. Connor and Oliver partner up in the comic story even though they do not know that they are related.
In the comics, the moment it was revealed, Oliver is upset that he is the last person to know. The burst of anger leads him to boldly accept an undercover assignment to infiltrate a dangerous group of eco-terrorists. Oliver is killed in that mission and Connor takes up the mantle of Green Arrow to honor his dad.
According to the report, though, such storyline may not be adapted in the TV show, considering the timeline in "Arrow." The report, however, added that writers could put their own spin on the idea.
According to Zap2it, in Season 4, the real question is not on how long it will take for Oliver to take up his mantle but on how long he will be able to retain his happiness with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). "Arrow" Season 4 will premiere on October 7 on The C.W.
