‘X-Files Revival’ Casting Update: Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose as New Agents

The X-Files revival has new casting updates. According to the showrunners, Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose will be joining the cast as New Agents.

Screen Rant reports that the X-Files upcoming revival has gotten fans all excited as new revelations come to light.

Fans already know that David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson would reprise their roles as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, respectively. It has been announced that the show would run for 6 episodes and that Creator Chris Carter will also be back in full control of the TV series. It has also been reported that the show would bring back favorite characters and tha Robbie Amell from "The Flash" and Lauren Ambrose from "Six Feet Under" and "Dig" would soon be joining the cast.

As disclosed, Robbie Amell will play the role of Agent Miller, a smart and smooth kind of guy. Ambrose, on the other hand, will be Agent Einstein, who is described as a sharp and confident woman. Amell and Ambrose are joining the wagon to fill the generation gap, not just on the show but also among audience.

According to E! Online, some of the guest stars for X-Files reboot have already been named. These are Annet Mahendru, Joel McHale, Kumail Nanjiani and Rhys Darby. Walter Skinner's character is back as well so actor Mitch Pileggi will be coming back including William B. Davis who will reprise his role as The Smoking Man.

Rumors say that the new agents of X-Files revival would just be doing one episode, but then it has been reported that the negotiation has been changed and that being regular is now an option.

Hollywood Life reports that when Robbie Amell was asked what he could say about being casted in X-Files Reboot, he said, "I don't know what I'm allowed to say. So let's just say, I'm f-king pumped." Whew- sounds exciting! Don't you think?
