Zach Johnson Is New British Open Champion

Zachary Harris Johnson or simply known as Zach has emerged triumphant in this year's British open as reported by Cbs Sports. The 39-year old golfer from America who has 12 victories on the PGA Tour, which includes two major championships has recently won the British open by defeating Marc Leishman and Louis Oosthuizen who ranks 17 and 61 in the Professional Golfer's Associations List.

By winning the British open, Johnson joins the elite squad of veterans and popular golfers like Tiger Woods, Nick Faldo, Seve Ballesteros, Jack Nicklaus, and Sam Snead as the only six players to win both Old Course and Augusta National. By winning the British open, Zach Johnson has now cemented his claim as one of the most popular golfers in the world. Johnson became the 14thgolfer to win the Masters and The Open Championship. Johnson bested Oosthuizen by one and Leishman by three with an aggregate score of 1 under.

Peter Sanders who worked with Zach since 2012 said that he usually send a report card to each of his players and their team a snapshot of what they did well and not so well as reported by Golf Digest. When he was told that the next open tournament will be held at St. Andrews, Johnson says that St. Andrews is terrific and that's his least favorite. He said that he loves attending tournament and he still like St. Andrews. Johnson has come a long way since he started his golf career in 2007. With all of his accomplishments and accolades, his hard work and toil really pay off. He even becomes emotional after reminiscing his career and hard work since he first became a professional golfer back in 2007.

Johnson failed to fight back tears of happiness in a post-round interview, when asked by ESPN regarding his career. Johnson said that what this does is really put things in perspective for him, more than it already has. He plays golf for a living and he's grateful for that. It's a beautiful game which provides a great opportunity. He's happy because his product of great people.
