After 37 years, James Franco is finally getting his Bar Mitzvah! Franco will finally become a man- in Jewish tradition on October 17, 2015. E! reported that Franco will celebrate this Jewish tradition prepared by his best friend Seth Rogen along with his wife, Lauren Miller Rogen for their annual Hilarity for Charity variety show which would be held in The Hollywood Paladium.
Seth Rogen spilled the reason behind the idea of throwing Franco a Bar Mitzvah, and added a sneak peak on what's going to happen saying:
Ever since I've known James, he's been talking about wanting a bar mitzvah," he then added "We're excited to see him finally become a man while also helping us raise awareness and funds for people living with Alzheimer's and towards research that will lead to a cure. And in celebration we'll also have a mohel and a live bris for James at the event."
James Franco then posted a photo on his Instagram account to promote his Bar Mitzvah with the caption:
"You KNOW you won't want to miss this!!!... Seth Rogen and the Gang are going to throw me a Bar Mitzvah!"
The Bar Mitzvah event for Franco is also set up by the couple to raise awareness for people suffering from Alzheimer's as per PrezHilton. Both Seth and Lauren put up the charity after her mother suffered from the disease at the age of 55. The Hilary for Charity event was founded by the couple with the help of their friends Raffi Adlan, Matthew Bass, and Tum Cohl. They're a team of 4 people standing up against the disease and raising awareness, doing their best to fight Alzheimer's.
Hilary for Charity has been running for two years and is still going strong. It's an annual event to raise funds for research, support, and awareness and care relief program.
