‘Mortal Kombat X’ Characters: Game To Get Additional DLC Packs?

NetherRealm Studios, game developer of "Mortal Kombat X," is reportedly gearing up to release a second batch of DLC for the video game. Dubbed as the "Kombat Pack 2," the rumored upcoming DLC was speculated based on the recently released live stream of the game. The "Kombat Pack - Tremor" livestream apparently suggested an end to "Kombat Pack 1," which led to the speculation that there is going to be another Kombat Pack, a report from IGN stated on Wednesday. The report hinted that more characters may be revealed in the future in the said DLC, if there is indeed going to be one.

It can be recalled that "Mortal Kombat" creative director Ed Boon posted in May on his Twitter account that avid players of the video game will be able to play Rain in "Mortal Kombat X." The Twitter post sparked speculations after the character was first spotted in the game's trailer, which was released last February.

According to another similar report from Gamezone, Ed Boon has reportedly hinted the possibility of "Kombat Pack 2" after he posted on Twitter a photo with the caption: "I'm interpreting this as a sign: 'Meat' must be in Kombat Pack 2."

Meanwhile, Geeksnack reports that "Kombat Pack 2" will likely be released since NetherRealm has earlier announced that there will be a long stream of free DLC in the future. The report said that adding new characters in the "Kombat Pack 2" will be a good strategy for the company to engage and eventually keep the fans of the game.

Furthermore, the report emphasized that NetherRealm's partnership with Warner Bros. for the said "Kombat Pack 2" will be a good move as it will accommodate more characters and eventually make gamers happy at the same time.

"Kombat Pack 1" brought four characters in the "Mortal Kombat X" video game, namely: Tanya, Jason Voorhees, Predator and Tremor.
