'Scandal' Season 5 Spoilers: Olivia Pope's First Client Revealed To Be British Royalty; Marcus Walker To Star In Premiere Episode

New spoilers for the upcoming fifth season of "Scandal" were recently unveiled online. According to TV Line, the premiere episode of "Scandal" for this season will feature Olivia Pope's (Kerry Washington) newest client, which is a British Royalty.

Meanwhile, there are also speculations about Cornelius Smith Jr.'s character, Marcus Walker. After appearing on two episodes of "Scandal" last season, there are rumors that Marcus will become the newest member of the Gladiators.

According to the International Business Times, Marcus could take the place of Huck (Guillermo Diaz), who is in danger of leaving the group after he teamed up with Rowan Pope (Joe Morton), Olivia's father and biggest enemy.

In other news, one recurring guest star from last season was recently promoted as a series regular. Portia de Rossi, who plays the role of Elizabeth North, was confirmed to reprise her role throughout the entire season.

During last season's finale episode, Elizabeth or Lizzie turned her back on Mellie (Bellamy Young) in an attempt to secure her position at the White House. In order for her to do so, Lizzie did everything in her power to destroy Mellie and President Fitzgerald Grant's (Tony Goldwyn) relationship.

Toward the end of the episode, President Fitz threw Mellie out of the White House and he reunited with the love of his life, Olivia. It is unclear how this twist will play up in Season 5. However, it's been known among "Scandal" fans that President Fitz and Olivia cannot be together just like that. This means that the two will definitely face their biggest challenges yet if they want to stay together.

Meanwhile, Scott Foley's character Jake Ballard will also return this coming season. However, it is unclear whether or not he will remain as a series regular or simply as a guest star.

"Scandal" Season 5 will premiere on ABC on September 24.
