'The Whispers' TV Show Spoilers: Drill's History Unveiled In Episode 8; Lily Rabe, Milo Ventimiglia To Not Return In Season 2?

"The Whispers" Season 1 recently unraveled a shocking detail about the mysterious character named Drill. On Monday night, it was revealed that not only is Drill still alive, he has also been around for several years. Wes, Claire and Sean tried to reach out to one man who might be able to tell them Drill's secrets, but their plan once again back fired.

In the upcoming ninth episode of "The Whispers" entitled, "Broken Child," Wes (Barry Sloane), Sean (Milo Ventimiglia) and Claire (Lily Rabe) will continue to find ways on how to unravel the mystery surrounding Drill, if only to make sure that their respective children, Minx (Kylie Rogers) and Henry (Kyle Harrison Breitkopf), wouldn't be put at risk.

Meanwhile, according to Venture Capital Post, "The Whispers" is picking up in terms of its viewership and audience share. In the past couple of episodes, the series struggled to receive high ratings. However, it seems that more and more audiences are getting hooked on Drill as well.

However, even if this is the case, it is still unclear whether or not "The Whispers" will be renewed for another season. Fans are also unsure whether or not lead star Lily Rabe will reprise her role as Claire Bennigan in Season 2.

Just recently, there were reports that the actress already declined to be part of the ABC series because she was unhappy that their filming is being held in Vancouver. The actress reportedly wants the filming of "The Whispers" to take place in the United States, but the production company cannot afford it, according to Deadline.

In other news, Milo Ventimiglia, who plays the role of Sean, may no longer return to "The Whispers" if the series were to be renewed for another season. The actor is currently being eyed to star as the lead character on "Shooter."

"The Whispers" airs Monday nights at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
