Donald Trump Says Hispanics Will Love Him As He Visits Laredo

Last Thursday, presidential hopeful Donald Trump visited the Mexican border foretelling that the Hispanics would love him as president even after calling Mexican immigrants rapists and criminals, a comment that created a feud with the maddened Republican rivals. Despite the danger and amidst protesters, Trump tells reporters after stepping off his private plane in Laredo, Texas, that he is great danger by touring the Mexican boarders but he had to do it.

"There's great danger with the illegals," Trump said to the reporters, speaking of to the millions of illegal immigrants living in the United States. But Trump also had said that he has "great relationship" with Hispanics amidst criticism from Latino leaders who have raised intense reactions for his comments that stereotyped Mexican immigrants as criminals.

"I'll take jobs back from China, I'll take jobs back from Japan," the very confident Mr. Trump said. "The Hispanics are going to get those jobs, and they're going to love Trump."

The Republicans are keen to avoid the fate of Mitt Romney in 2012 who earned only 27%of the Hispanic vote after promoting "self-deportation" as a practical solution to America's immigration crisis. There is a growing willingness among Republican presidential nominees to let illegal Mexican immigrants remain in the country.

Trump has set up a dramatic fiasco in his trip to Laredo. He has also gotten into a fight with the local border patrol union who pulled out of events concerning Donald Trump. His visit drew very strong reaction from residents of Laredo, who majority are Hispanic.

A 72-year-old Pedro Omar Castillo said that Trump needs the growing Hispanic voice to win the elections. He said in Spanish, "But he's not going to get it because of his words. He is racist."

On the other hand a certain 26 year-old named Karina Villalba held a sign "I heard your speech & I am NOT offended" at the airport. She said she appreciates Trump's honest remarks. She said, "Sometimes honesty hurts."
