Having two or more little kids probably makes you ponder about getting a pretty home free of Legos and coloring stains. It is a common dream for mothers to be able to relax in a pretty home without having to worry about clutters and trash. If you're already losing hope, keep in mind that you can achieve a good interior design without having to kick your kids out of the house. We love our kids, but we also love living in a beautiful home. We can't risk any of the two, so let's try to achieve both!
1. Put bins and hooks in every entryway of your home.
This is just being realistic. We know that entrances are dumping grounds for whatever the kids are carrying. So to at least keep their stuff organized, give them a place to put or hang their things as they walk through an entrance.
2. Go for leather sofas.
White sofas are a bad idea. What you need are leather or microfiber sofas. Consider slip covers if you really want that white color for your living room.
3. Use aluminum chairs.
Aluminum chairs can last long. These chairs can stay strong even if your kids decide that they are toys.
4. Use ottomans
Instead of regular coffee tables, use ottomans. The kids are unlikely to be hurt with this furniture as they have nothing to bump their heads on. It also looks good and comfortable to use.
5. Wool rugs are your friends
Use dark colored wool rugs to help you hide the ugly. It beautifies the home and can be washed easily.
Having kids should not mark the end of your creativity. Yes it requires maintenance but it's just a part of the perks of parenthood. Sometimes you just got to be realistic and make the most of what you have. It will end up being a happy challenge.
