Space Jam 2 and Lebron James, Done Deal?

There has been a buzz on the internet these past few days about the sequel of the ever-famous Space Jam which was released by Warner Bros last 1996. It has been 20 years since the film was released and now one of Americas largest Entertainment Company is hinting for a sequel of the film. It can be remembered in the movie that it was Michael Jordan, the lead character, together with his fellow contemporary players, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Shawn Bradley, Larry Johnson, and Muggsy Bogues, who helped the Looney Toons determine their freedom from other non-friendly alien characters.

Speaking of alien character, perhaps one of the reasons why Space Jam 2 is being discussed online is the idea of their new lead character who is rumored to be Lebron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers. The possible major acting stint of Lebron James with the said film sky-rocketed Space Jam 2 as the 5th most searched word in Google as to Google trend report.

Though the rumors of Lebron James starring in Space Jam has yet to be confirmed, editors and media strategist alike are already convinced that something is being cooked with all these smoke of speculations around. Editor and media strategist, Alex Weprin, later on twitted that,

"Warner Bros. filed new trademarks for "Space Jam" last month. Today announced deal with LeBron James."

Such social media post may not only be a rumor, for James recently signed a deal with Warner Bros to produce film, TV, and digital content for the studio. And last month Warner Bros filed new trademarks for Space Jam. If you will be connecting those surfacing conjectures, Lebron James and Bugs Bunny team up would then be something to watch for.

However, in line with the trending news of Space Jam 2 considering Lebron James as the lead character, comments via social media was also pouring out like basketball shots.

"Space Jam 2? Hope Lebron has better luck saving earth than he does winning the Finals."

"How is Lebron going to save the earth in Space Jam 2 when he can't even save Cleveland."

- Los Angeles Sports

Despite the social media comments about the rumored plan, the King has this line to say, "Connecting with my fans and telling meaningful stories have always been my passion." Now all we have to do is to wait for the final confirmation and see if James would have a shot for the Oscars.
