What happens when reality TV hits the borderline?
How crazy is this? A reality TV show "Go Back To Where You Came From" in Australia features and makes contestants experience a rage of excitement and real danger as their contestants make their way into the ISIS grounds in Syria.
The show was a three-part documentary by SBS, according to The Mirror, the contestants are sent over to the 800m of Islamic State war zone in Syria.
It was said in The Daily Beast that the show aims to change perceptions of Australians regarding "global refugee crisis."
The reality series features six contestants on a trip around the world for three weeks. The third season is where part of the cast where escorted by Peshmerga fighters, and off to the frontlines of ISIS.
According to the News.com.au, Nicole who is part of the cast that went to the ISIS Frontlines said that, "When we crossed the border from Iraq into Syria, I kind of thought we would maybe go to a refugee camp near the border, meet some families, but once we crossed the border we drove for like four hours and it kind of dawned on me we were going to an active war zone."
The actual location where Nicole, Kim, and another cast were brought was actually 900 yards away from town when ISIS fighters realized their presence and began shooting.
Kim Vuga revealed in the article of The Sydney Morning Herald that she was actually shot by terrorists, she revealed that "Probably the worst part was going as close as we could and knowing that their bullets could reach us. We were told to listen for any whistling sounds coming through the air and that would mean a mortar had been fired. We were told we had 30 seconds to run 100 metres."
Also she said, "It was surreal I actually felt I'd climbed through my News 24. It was crazy to actually see a black flag in place."
