According to Christian Today, rumors are circulating that actor Ethan Embry will be joining the cast, but there is still no confirmation on the role he will be playing. Some fans are reprtedly hoping that he plays Negan. It was earlier reported that showrunner Scott Gimple revealed that Embry's role will be someone who is very loosely based on one of the characters in the comic book. He also added that fans will surely recognize him when they see it.
This is reportedly the reason fans are speculating that Embry will be playing one of the ruthless villains of the story, Negan. Negan is the brutal and psychotic leader of a group called "The Saviors." He is from Washington, D.C. and is also said to be one of the highly anticipated characters in the show.
However, there is still no confirmation that Embry will indeed play the role of Negan. There are also several reports that claim that the actor might play Scott, who is one of Alexandria's residents and is known to have high suspicions about the newcomers. His friend Heath is also confirmed to appear, but the casting wasn't revealed yet.
Comic Book also revealed the possible comeback of one of the characters from Season 1. Morales (Juan G. Pareja) was the family man featured in Season 1. He and his wife and their two children decided to separate from Rick's group to head to Birmingham. The website speculated that he will be coming back for Season 6. This is because a few months ago a promotional image of the character was reportedly revealed with the sign, "Not Dead."
Fans will just have to see for themselves if such characters will indeed appear in the upcoming season of the TV series. "The Walking Dead" will return in AMC on October 11.
