Jake Gyllenhaal with a jaw-dropping transformation of himself for his latest Film, Southpaw, not only has stolen the hearts of his fans but also has earned the admiration of another famous celebrity. Kelly Ripa has recently publicly proclaimed herself a big fan of the actor, admitting that "he's perfect". Lask week, Ripa was all tense on the set of Live with Michael and Kelly as the two exchanged a bit of flirtation.
On the show, Kelly touched Jake's beard and got thrilled over how soft it is, and she said out loud if he uses conditioner on it. The actor was quick to joke that it's just good genetics and Kelly said, "Oh wow, you are perfect, aren't you?"
The talk show host is not the only personality who admires Jake and his serious acting talents. Recently Hollywood actress and co-star, Rachel McAdams, was also astounded at how he was able to transform both physically and emotionally for the movie.
McAdams says in an interview with Yahoo! Style, "When Jake was first starting to box, and I went and met him at the gym, he had a big bushy beard and a ponytail. Then, when I first showed up on set on day one, he was in the middle of shooting that first fight in the stadium. I was so unprepared and it was just amazing to get closer and closer to that ring and see him emerge and what he had done - not just the physical transformation but even his emotional shift was so palpable. He had become this person on a cellular level. So really extraordinary. Very awe-inspiring." She also added, "He'd get up in the morning and run eight miles and then run twice a day and then rehearse. He was a machine. And I was just filing my nails pretending not to notice. No, it was great."
