Marvel has already begun its production of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 3 and it has also released cryptic behind-the-scenes photos from the set. In Marvel's website, the company revealed the first look at the show with two new images. One of the photos shows Executive Producer Jed Whedon and Director Vincent Misiano conducting a smoke test for the set.
According to Comic Book, the new season will be introducing new friends and villains. The upcoming season is said to be inspired by the critically acclaimed Secret Warriors comic series and also the Inhuman Lash.
Catermatt reports that since the plot will be based on the Secret Warriors, it is most likely that Skye will be replaced by the Daisy Johnson persona. It was reported that Chloe Bennet, who plays Skye, was getting a physical makeover for the new role. Meanwhile, it was also revealed that Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) will also be preparing for his new role in Hydra.
The show has always been mysterious when it comes to their casting and story teasers. Fans are apparently waiting to see if the show will be adding a touch of a Marvel movie just like what they previously did with their hints of the movie, "Captain America: Winter Soldier." Now that the new "Captain America" movie will be released soon, will the show try to dance around the story of "Captain America: Civil War" as well?
Moreover, it was revealed that after the battle of S.H.I.E.L.D. against Jiaying and the Inhumans, Director Coulson (Clark Gregg) will try to search for more powerful people to create a new team that will fight threats the world has never seen before. However, they will soon find out that they are not the only ones who are tracking down such "inhumans."
Marvel "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 3 will premiere on September 29 on ABC.
