'The Originals' Season 3 Spoilers & Cast: Stars of 'Pretty Little Liars' and 'Veronica Mars' To Join The Show

"The Originals" will be adding new vampires, werewolves and more characters to its lineup. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Andrew Lees from the show "The Pacific" and Rebecca Breeds from "Pretty Little Liars" will join the CW spinoff series in recurring roles.

Lees will play the role of Lucien who is a member of Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) sire line. He will be coming to New Orleans with a secret agenda which will involve the infamous hybrid. He is described as intelligent and charming and is wildly successful in disguising himself.

Breeds, on the other hand, will play a vampire named Aurora who is described to be seductive and alluring and a character who always like to party. However, the sexy vampire has a dark side which can be extremely violent and dangerous.

The two characters will be joined by "Veronica Mars" alum, Jason Dohring, who will play Detective Will Kinney. According to Entertainment Weekly, Detective Kinney is described as a confident man who prides himself by sticking to his principles of what is right and wrong. He is a detective who is determined to always let justice prevail; however, he is unaware that vampires, werewolves and hybrids exist in the town. Fans will have to wait and see what the new detective will do once he finds out the truth.

Despite the defeat of Dahlia (Claudia Black), the Mikaelsons are still weaker than ever because of Klaus' actions in the previous season. According to Ecumenical News, Season 3 will begin six months after the Season 2 finale events. It will begin with Klaus trying to make amends for his mistakes and violent reactions but no one will reportedly buy it.

In addition, the main theme for Season 3 will revolve around the sire lines and also dig deeper on the early days of the Mikaelsons after the family was turned into vampires.

"The Originals" season 3 will return on The CW on October 8 at 9 p.m.
